Another day, another life

It’s been so long since I last blogged. I missed blogging so much. School was the main reason why I wasn’t able to blog as much as I used to. And finally, after so many decades of suffering, I am finally blogging again!

So basically, this post is merely to update you with what I’m currently in to.

While getting stressed because of school, I still found time to find another form of recreation. Music was my sanctuary for the past three weeks, and it was like my food for the soul. I found this song by Ed Sheeran called Autumn Leaves, and it’s my favourite Ed Sheeran song at the moment.

Also, I’ve resumed to reading the second book of the ever-erotic novel, Fifty Shades Darker. It’s given me a different way to view things. Before reading the first novel, I thought it would be really dirty and filthy. But then I realised, the more you think it’s dirty and filthy, the more dirty and filthy it’ll seem. Sex is normal, most especially when you’re in love. You just give yourself to the person -- apparently that’s the modern thing. I have completely fallen in love with Christian Trevelyan-Grey. So, expect a review of the second one soon! I’m excited.

Yesterday, I found a darn good site to waste my time on. It’s called The Quiet Place Project.  Thank you Amitay Tweeto for creating this, because it really helped me! It’s the perfect site to keep yourself calm and stuff like that. It helps you empty your mind and focus on what’s really important: you.

I’ve also discovered a new kind (sort of) of music: indie. Well it’s not that new to me (Lana del Rey, Marina and the Diamonds…), but I’ve found more indie bands, such as The Good Natured and The xx.

I discovered The Good Natured via twitter, because they followed me first! It was reaaaally cool, you know, getting followed by a band and turning out to like their music. I even DM-ed them saying they were great. (Follow me on twitter: @perksofjustine!)

On the other hand, I discovered The xx through my aunt’s purchased items. Then I saw a tweet on my timeline saying how The xx were a cool band. So I listened to their music and now I’m hooked.

Speaking of music, I downloaded a Frank Sinatra song because I read it in Fifty Shades Darker. It’s called I’ve Got You Under My Skin and it is really lovely. I now love Frank Sinatra and he fondly reminds me of my maternal grandfather.

So, summer is pretty much the only thing I’m anticipating. I am really stoked, because I have a lot of plans! I hope to accomplish them all. I really do.
